Day 132

Good news.  Taris took pity on me and my circumstances as of late...I blame deployment sympathy...and I will take it!  He told me that if I was serious about learning how to use a camera, maybe I should take this opportunity to upgrade to a new camera and get my current one fixed and let it be a back-up.  Well, after feeling guilty about jumping (kind of) off of my debt diet, I took the plunge and made an emergency purchase.  (I could hear Dave Ramsey in my head telling me I better be paying cash for my purchase.)  So, while I wait on my camera to show up I thought I would post the four pictures that I had to settle on using do to my lack of picture ability.  Here we go...

Frustrated

So, here I am in the Rock Your Camera class and what should happen?  I am sure you can guess...my camera is broken!  Yes.  Thank goodness I decided to jump on the wagon and get my first assignment done...kind of.  I spent the evening on the phone with Canon.  My camera kept giving me this error message about my battery.  I did some research, to discover that I needed to update my firmware.  So, I did.  Now, my camera will not take a picture, turn on, nothing.  I was informed by the nice man at tech support that I could send it in and get it fixed for a starting price of $190 or just go straight to the customer loyalty department and upgrade my current digs.  I decided to do what Dave Ramsey would want (and Taris) and pay the small fee to hopefully get it back and working.  I am just praying to have it back in a week so that I don't really miss any of my class.  The problem is that I am going to be out of town all next week and really wanted to take my camera with me to complete my assignment.  Oh well.  Here is hoping that the issue is an easy fix.

Do you see a pattern?  Apparently I have an issue with using f/1.8.  I am working on breaking this cycle...I promise.

Day 128

Now that I am taking the Rock Your Camera class with Clickin Moms, I am going to be posting the info on my photos in hopes of some pointers of things to change as I learn all about the triangle.  Feel free to jump in and comment...they are always greatly appreciated.

Sorry

Oh my!  I have been trying to figure out why in the world the computer kept yelling at that the server was rejecting all of the pictures that I keep trying to upload.  Well, I finally have some time to do some research and apparently I am out of storage space on Picasa.  It would be nice if they actually sent you an email or something about it!  Anyway, paid for the 200MB upgrade...I don't want to have this problem for a while and now it could take up to 24 hours to update.  I am just glad that I figured this out before my Rock Your Camera 101 class starts tomorrow!  Hope to have plenty of pictures to post then.  Hope to have everything loaded sometime this afternoon...fingers crossed!
